The 70-Year-Old Antique Cot Challenge
Moving modern furniture is a job; moving a 70-year-old antique is a responsibility. We were recently commissioned to move a priceless antique cot featuring delicate, hand-woven cane art. The customer’s mandate was clear: Zero Damage. No exceptions.
To protect a piece of history, we deployed our most advanced protection protocols. This wasn't just "packing"—this was custom engineering for safety.
The "Museum-Grade" Protection Process:
3-Layer Technical Wrap: We first applied high-grade Bubble Wrap to cushion the cane art, followed by heavy-duty Corrugated Sheets for structural rigidity, and sealed with Industrial Stretch Wrap to create a dust-proof, moisture-proof barrier.
Custom Wooden Crating: Because antique wood and cane are fragile, we built a Full Wooden Crate specifically for this single item. This external "hard shell" ensures that no external pressure or shifting during transit can touch the furniture itself.
Physical Accountability: As shown in our field report, our permanent, expert team handled every stage—from the first wrap to the final nail in the crate.
"When it's irreplaceable, you don't hire a mover; you hire a protector."
Why Custom Crating is Essential for Antiques
Most "Ghost Movers" in Bangalore will try to move antiques with just a thin plastic sheet. This leads to cracked wood and ruined cane work. Our wooden crating service is the only way to guarantee that heirloom items—whether they are 70-year-old cots or delicate carvings—arrive in original condition.
We provide specialized crating for:
Antique Furniture & Heirloom Pieces
Delicate Cane Art & Woven Furniture
Premium Marble & Glass Tops
Fine Art & Sculptures
